Our saying goes that you’ve probably already met us, or some version of us, and just don’t know it yet. At its core, The Botch Pit is built on a simple idea: to create joy and share it with the world. We bring that vision to life through narrative design for some of the largest entertainment experiences on the planet, educational videos and workshops that inform while they entertain, and, most importantly, through genuine human connection fostered through both online communities and live events across the United States.

ORIGINS

The Botch Pit began on the South Shore of Boston as a simple group of friends playing games together in the dark during turbulent times. Week after week, things grew brighter, and the stories told evolved into unforgettable tales that made some angry, others weep (looking at you, Session 18), but always brought us together through laughter and shared experience. Before long, those stories expanded beyond the table through the use of technology, reaching ears across the globe. Soon, more people joined the cause – our Botchlings – the community continued to grow, and the rest is history.

ABOUT OUR LOGO “DEE”

On May 15, 2020, The Botch Pit unveiled its new logo, “Dee,” created by Michelle Carter of 1001 Troubles Tattoo. Known for artwork rooted in mythology, high fantasy, gothic themes, and the occult, Michelle was a natural fit for The Botch Pit’s identity. The symbolism of the Grim Reaper had always been part of The Botch Pit’s branding, but Michelle transformed that iconography into something truly distinct and memorable.

The Botch Pit exists to tell unforgettable stories, create unforgettable experiences, and bring people together through chaos, creativity, and a little bit of madness.
